Director of Development

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) seeks a full-time Director of Development to oversee a robust $1.5MM+ philanthropic plan while building a visionary major giving program that supports concerts and youth education programs that impact 200,000+ community members annually. 
We are looking for someone who loves connecting people’s passion for making a difference to an organization that is making a difference. Meeting with people and getting to know them on a personal level, building enduring relationships beyond your work with our organization is a large component of the role. We need someone who can build and manage a robust giving program, while also being in the community and representing the work of the WCO.

What you can expect:

  • Full-time salaried exempt position
  • Salary range: $75,000–85,000

What we expect:
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in progressive non-profit development roles
  • A passion for and experience working in the arts preferred, but not required
  • CFRE Industry credential preferred
  • Experience in designing and implementing successful major giving programs
  • Experience with and success in managing a portfolio of donor relationships over $10,000
  • Ability to manage a team and inspire collaboration and action toward a common goal
  • Proficiency in using CRM database; experience with Tessitura preferred but not required
