Legal Considerations in Starting a Business

One of the first major decision any business owner needs to make is what form his/her business will take. This course introduces participants to certain basic legal concepts, and provides them with an overview of the different legal and tax structures available. During this course, we will discuss the pros and cons of establishing your business as a sole proprietorship, an LLC or a corporation under state law, and discuss various tax elections that may be advantageous to certain types of businesses.
